History

2001

We started in 2001 in a 10x10ft office with two technicians and a van. Tom’s had a long term goal of building a business dedicated to providing a high level of customer service employing prudently selected employees, rigorous training and leading business systems. In our first job, we installed telecommunication cabling, a satellite television system, telephone system, and nurse call system, but quickly realized that we did not have the capacity to be experts in so many services as such a small company. So, we focused on telecommunications for our first few years and became experts in that field. We also learned that customers often need help after projects are complete, so we developed a service department to service their needs. As the years went on and we grew bigger, we expanded our services to include electronic security and DAS as well as AV. We were well suited to provide these services because it allowed our customers to call one company for their service needs.

2020

Skyline has expanded its workforce to over 40 employees providing expert service in telecommunications, CCTV, access control, public safety and cellular DAS, Nurse Call, WiFi, and AV systems. In 2020 we moved into a new building with dedicated space for equipment staging, system mockup, training and design which allows us to more effectively serve our customers. Tom has maintained a focus in business planning and achieving long and short term goals. According to Tom, over the years it has been most exciting to build a team of people and see what each individual has to contribute, because each person brings their own set of unexpected skills and perspectives that help Skyline to continue to grow.
